The practice

Avalex Consulting, LLC is a two-person practice. We take work we can deliver ourselves, and we say no to the rest.

David Ownby leads strategy and delivery: agile execution, supply chain, telecom infrastructure, and the operational readiness work that keeps a growing company from tripping over itself. Twenty years across regulated infrastructure, large programme delivery, and technical programme recovery.

Melissa Hincha-Ownby leads written and editorial work: documentation strategy, editorial review, and the content systems that keep a company's published voice consistent. She builds the style guides, SOPs, and onboarding material that make an organisation legible to itself.

Logan Ownby runs operations and engineering: AI systems, automation, cloud infrastructure, and the technical execution behind client engagements.

We are deliberately small. That means the person who scoped the work is the person who does it, there is no account manager between you and the engineer, and the rate you are quoted is the rate you pay.

We work hourly or by the day, on engagements from a single scoping session to a multi-month rollout.
